We are excited to announce that the guest speaker at this year’s Annual Dinner will be Mr Nick Emmerson, the 179th President of the Law Society of England and Wales. Nick is a partner at Lewis Mathys Emmerson LLP and a recognized expert in international capital markets transactions and cross-border mergers and acquisitions. Fluent in Japanese, he has worked in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Leeds, and London. Nick is also admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong and the Republic of Ireland, and as an attorney-at-law in California. His global experience fuels his commitment to advancing the presence of English and Welsh solicitors on the international stage. A proud Yorkshireman, Nick has represented Leeds on the Law Society Council since 2015. He also served as President of the Leeds Law Society during its 150th anniversary, navigating the society through the challenges of the pandemic.
