A think tank report recommending an overhaul of anti-money laundering (AML) legislation is covered by Legal Futures.
Law firms allocate "substantial costs and resources" to comply with their AML and financial crime obligations, said a Law Society spokesperson.
Solicitors Indemnity Fund
Anna Bradley, chairwoman of the Solicitors Regulation Authority responds in the Times (£) to concerns raised in the same publication last week by Law Society president I. Stephanie Boyce about the future of the Solicitors Indemnity Fund (SIF).
Surge in rental fraud

Interim CEO
Legal Brief and the Times (£) report on our new interim CEO Gerry Walsh. Gerry is a former interim chief executive of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply and was procurement director for the 2012 London Olympics. He will lead the Law Society until a new permanent chief executive is appointed.
